Memorial Postponed 8/26/2011
The dedication & unveiling of the Memorial to 2nd LT Carol Ann Drazba RN has been postponed until all the funds have been successfully raised & an agreement at the memorial site is reached. We are so sorry for any inconvenience, however at this point with only 5 weeks to prepare the site & raise the remainder of the funds; we are unable to meet the deadline of October 8th. The Memorial will go up in the very near future with all the Pavers, Benches & memorial Wall with tributes to those killed that day & also tributes to the Dunmore natives lost in the Vietnam War. Please bear with us & know this memorial is foremost in our hearts. The “Wall that Heals” will be brought to Nay Aug Park Oct 6th through 9th, all are invited to take place in a ceremony to honor Carol Ann Drazba on that Saturday, October 8th at 3pm. Tentative talks for a possible new memorial site will be in the making soon. Thank you all who have helped us come so far! We will succeed!

Is it true that the Drazba memorial may not be placed in Dunmore?
I was told that it may be relocated to the Gino Merli Center.

We are in Talks with Gino Merli who approached us in regards to placing Carol there- in their words: “We would like to bring our Daughter home!” Carol went to Nursing School at Scranton State Hospital which stood on that site. Since we were meeting too many hurdles in Dunmore, we hope & pray this plan will come to be.
